Program/Service Notes:
Vilas County Men's Domestic Abuse Program is a psycho-educational group for men. Using the well-known Duluth Model, this 18-week program covers nine basic topics fundamental to respectful, safe relationships with partners and children. It specifically addresses means of redirecting violent impulses through the use of Time Out. It requires participants to set weekly goals, do homework assignments, participate in the group process, demonstrate improved communications skills, and understand how their use of violence has affected their loved ones. Men are required to refrain from the use of violence during their participation in the program.
