National TV-Turnoff Week is organized each year by TV-Turnoff Network. TV-Turnoff Week encourages Americans to reduce, voluntarily and dramatically, the amount of television they watch in order to promote healthier and more connected lives, families, and communities.

For one week in spring, millions of Americans disconnect from their television and reconnect to their families and communities. During that time, they rediscover that life can be more fun, relaxing, and rewarding when we live more and watch less.

Other TV-Turnoff Network programs include: More Reading, Less TV, a 6-week program designed to improve reading attitude among primary students and the Campaign for Less TV, an initiative to raise public Awareness of the health consequences of excessive TV watching.
