VOLUME-BASED GARBAGE SYSTEM
The city provides a 35-gallon cart or 52 stickers and a recycling bin to all single, duplex and triplex dwellings


CART CHARGES 35 gallon (1-3 person family) no charge
65 gallon (4-5 person family) $7.74 for three months (charged on Water Bill)
95 gallon (6+ person family) $13.92 for three months (charged on Water Bill)

Carts can be exchanged for a different size or for stickers in December or when a resident moves to a new location within the city.
If you have more garbage than your container can hold you can purchase a sticker for one dollar each to place on a plastic bag of your choice. Use one sticker per bag.
Purchase stickers at: City Hall, Trigs Food & Drug, Wal-Mart, Save-A-Lot, and Lakeland True Value Hardware
Damaged carts replaced at no charge.
Carts must be placed on curbside no sooner than 12 hours before pickup day.
Recycling bins are free. Place on curbside near cart
