Program/Service Notes:
The Tomorrow’s Home Foundation was created in 2000 for several purposes:

(1) Assist disabled persons in the purchase of a manufactured or modular home via a down payment assistance grant,

(2) Provide emergency assistance grants designed to provide critical repairs so that individuals and families can stay in their manufactured or mobile home.

(3) Create a method and mode for disposing of old, uninhabitable mobile homes that were blighting the countryside and

(4) Educate the manufactured and modular housing industry.

The Tomorrow’s Home Foundation provides downpayment assistance to families that have a disabled family member. This Universal Access Grant offers an opportunity for the family to have a home of their own that fits their needs. It also provides the financial stability that homeownership brings. The family is strengthened by the pride of ownership and a stable place to live.

A new resource guide, “Design Tools for Life Long Homeownership,” has been produced and shipped to member manufacturers and retailers. This guide was designed to assist with providing home options that will suit a family from youth to old age. It includes design techniques for assisting people with disabilities that range from vision problems to wheelchair accessibility features.
