Eligibility: Caller must have unsecured (credit card) debt, a willingness to receive counseling.
Fees: Nominal set up fees. Free consultation. Monthly fee $15-$20 dependent on creditors involved.

Service Area: National assistance, all 50 states(excluding Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam).

Program/Service Notes:
For families struggling with credit card debt, relief is available. This agency is state compliant and authorized to contact creditors and arrange for reductions in interest rates, waive late fees and back interest. Client may choose to enroll in a debt management program and make one payment per month which is dispersed to creditors. Program typically saves clients hundreds of dollars per month. Harassing calls will stop, and in cases, principle balances can even be reduced. This assistance is often an attractive alternative to bankruptcy.
