Program/Service Notes:
Rural Housing does all eligible activities for the counties that are not served by local agencies. Eligible activities include preventing homelessness with a security deposit or rent. We work with lenders and counties to prevent foreclosures with budgeting and partial payments. We can assist with utility payment only after successful completion of a three month budget plan.

Clients' income must be below 50% of the county median income by family size. They must be spending at least 30% of income on housing costs and be able to afford the next months rent or mortgage.

The applications are on the web site to be downloaded but you may wish to call first to determine if you are in an eligible county. Proof of income is critical to processing the application.
