Eligibility:
Intensive and Training Services are for Adults age 18 and older with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. The chosen training program must be on the "demand occupation" list. U.S. residency is required. Priority is given to veterans and those most in need.

Services are free to the general public.

Program/Service Notes:
The Marathon County Department of Employment and Training Provides Workforce Investment Act Services for Adams, Wood, Portage, Marathon, Lincoln, Langlade, Vilas, Oneida, and forest counties. Core, Intensive and training Services are offered.
Core Services are free to the general public through the local Job Center and include:
- Job search and placement
- Pre-employment workshops
- Job vacancy listings
- Resume and interviewing assistance
- Information related to local occupations in demand
- Information abut earnings and skill requirements
Intensive Services
If job placement is not achieved after the use of at least one Core Service, then Intensive Services may be available:
- Assessments of skill levels and employment goals
- Individualized employment counseling and career planning and guidance
- Case management for individuals seeking employment and training.
Training Services may be available to individual who do not find a job after Job seekers typically can select the training provider (technical college, etc.) of their choice using an Individual Training Account. Eligible costs include tuition, books and course related fees. Level of assistance offered is determined by individual need.
